My two cents:
Once it has sent out the official job postings, the APA always does a fine job making them easily accessible on the internet (at http://www.apaclassics.org/Administration/Placement/jobscurrent.html). So whoever is copying postings to this thread is expending energy needlessly, while the rest of us have to read postings we've already seen. Perhaps we should reserve this thread only for new postings that haven't come out through the APA yet? It's been great as an alternative, faster source of info, but isn't really needed as a carbon copy.

The major announcements in the US should be out by now. There are usually a bunch of VAPs coming out in January-April. Some worthwhile jobs in the UK cluster around that time too.

The department comprises Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, Archaeology, and History, and since 2009, when the department was established, there has been systematic cooperation between the three disciplines in both education and research.

Classical Archaeology and Ancient History is a discipline of international strength and has several different research areas as its points of departure. It is against this background that no special profile has been identified and decided on for the chair. Applicants should have broad competence outside their research specialization. The position involves research within the discipline, teaching and supervision of postgraduate students (third cycle) and teaching at the undergraduate levels (first and second cycles). In addition to participating in intra-discipline cooperation within Sweden, the professor will be expected to cooperate actively with the other disciplines at the Department of Historical Studies and with the classical languages as well as with the Swedish research institutes in Rome, Athens and Istanbul. The professor will be expected to be able to use both Swedish and English as languages of instruction. If the professor's first language is not Swedish, he or she should be able, by the end of the first two years of employment, to use Swedish for teaching and for participation in meetings.

For eligibility, an applicant must have demonstrated both scholarly and pedagogical skills.

Assessment of the applicants will primarily be based equally on scholarly and pedagogical skills. Other important qualifications are administrative skills and ability to interact with society at large and to disseminate information about research.

At the University of Gothenburg, salaries are based on individual qualifications and performance. An application for the post should include a statement of salary expected.

In addition to the application as such, a candidate must submit a verified curriculum vitae, a brief written description of scholarly and pedagogical activities, and those scholarly and pedagogical works which the candidate wants to be part of the basis for assessment.
